Health and Welfare

Your dog’s welfare whilst in our care is paramount, if at any point during the grooming process your dog shows signs of distress, we will seek to change our approach in order to complete the groom but, if this is not possible and your dog continues to show distress, we will have to abort the groom, we will not force any part of the process on your dog. 
The full cost of the groom will still be charged. Unruffled can then work with you and your dog in shorter, scaled down grooms where we will endeavour to overcome this behaviour. Please do not bring your dog for their groom, if they are showing any signs of ill health, unless it has been noted and agreed prior to the appointment by Unruffled. Do not bring your dog for groom if they have recently been neutered, pregnant or if they are in season. The grooming of all dogs especially the elderly is explicitly at the owner’s risk. If the grooming process exposes any underlying skin or health conditions, Unruffled will not be held liable. If in the rare event that an accident may occur or a medical emergency, you authorise Unruffled to seek veterinary treatment.

Aggressive and reactive dogs

If your dog has at any time shown signs of aggression, Unruffled must be informed prior to making an appointment. Muzzles will be used as a last resort, only if a dog shows signs of aggression. Unruffled may abort a groom if the dog is aggressive, the full cost of the groom will still be charged.  If your dog is aggressive and causes injury, you will be held liable, under the dangerous dog’s act.

Appointments and Cancellation

Your appointment slot has been scheduled around yourself and other client’s appointments, we operate a one-to-one service and cannot cater for late drop off or late pick up, Unruffled may cancel your appointment, if you are more than 30 minutes late, at a cost to you of 50% of the groom booked.

Cancellations must be made 24hrs before the appointment slot, any cancellations made later than 24hrs prior or a complete missed appointment will be charged 50% of the grooming service booked.

Extra Charges

If your dog is displaying any behavioural issues, it’s coat is matted or not as discussed in the consultation, any extra time required to complete the groom will be passed on to you, at a rate of £10 for every extra 30 minutes.

We do not accept a dog with a flea infestation. You must check your dogs 24hrs before your appointment, especially during flea season, if they have fleas cancel your appointment and treat your dog before revisiting  the salon. If you bring your dog for a groom and a flea infestation is found, we will abort the groom at full charge and ask you to collect your dog immediately, we will also add a flea surcharge of £30 to the cost of the groom, to cover a deep clean and Flea Bomb for the salon, we will not infect other clients dogs.
